Abstract
The object of the author's study is the process of development of emotional intelligence in preschool age. The subject of the study is the key changes in the development of emotion understanding and emotion regu- lation at different stages of preschool childhood. Along with the age features of emotional intelligence develop- ment, the article discusses approaches to the definition of this psychological phenomenon in domestic child psy- chology
