The Participation and Willingness of Chinese Urban Residents in Community Activities

Communities and grassroots society in China have been very interesting targets for scientific research. The building of communities relies on the active participation of residents. But if residents want to participate in the community, it is necessary to mobilize their motivation and willingness for social participation. How to judge the residents' willingness to participate is very important, and how to increase the residents' willingness to participate is also important. This article has gained a lot of new information through literature research and interviews. Through the interviews, we found that residents' willingness to participate is related to the content of participation. Many communities are currently involved with the elderly or full-time women. An important way to increase residents' community involvement is to encourage active participation through sensible community interactions and community activities.
