MANAGING FOREIGN LANGUAGES TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT IN MODERN EDUCATION ENVIRONMENT

Abstract
Introduction. The modern world needs highly qualified specialists with knowledge of a foreign language, professionals who are able to absorb everything new and progressive, ready to accumulate and receive new ideas, self-knowledge and self-evaluation. A motivated teacher who has freedom of creativity and professional development is one of the nine key components of the New Ukrainian School formula. Continuing self-education and lifelong learning has become a key today in professional growth and are becoming leading factors in building a trajectory of professional growth. Purpose. The aim of the paper is to study and analyze modern means for managing the continuous professional development of foreign language teachers. Methods. The general-logical methods and techniques of research: analysis, synthesis, abstraction, generalization, induction, deduction, analogy were used. Results. The article deals with the analysis of modern means for managing the continuous development of foreign language teachers'professional competence. The paper reveals the features of legal support and regulation of the process of professional development of domestic teachers. The author of the article defines the advantages and disadvantages influencing the foreign language teachers'professional development. Based on this, the organizational mechanism of state managingteachers'professional competence is determined and the subjects of management are represented at such levels: state, regional, local and institutional. Consequently, the organizational system for the developing foreign language teachers' professional competence consists of the stages: 1) studyingin higher education institutions and obtain the appropriate educational, qualification level; 2) advanced training in institutions of the postgraduate education system; 3) self-education and own professional growth, choice by each teacher of a concrete institution of postgraduate pedagogical education on studying of modern scientific branches and technologies, forms of training; 4) assessment of the level of professional development with clarification of professional motives, values and qualities; 5) connection of the results of professional development with the establishment of the professional qualification level and salary increase. Originality. The originality of the article is determined by the justification of the meansfor managing the foreign language teachers'professional development. Conclusion. Therefore, in modern conditions, achieving life and professional success is impossible without the constant acquisition of new knowledge. A modern teacher should develop the skills and improve thecompetencies that will contribute to the formation of a competent person who can not only independently and critically rethink existing ways (tools) to manage their own professional development and offer new ones that can be more efficient.
