Abstract
This article discusses the features of psychological adaptation to the conditions of a correctional institution in persons deprived of liberty for the first time and addicted to psychoactive substances, as well as methods of short-term psychocorrection, which contributes to the stabilization of the mental states of the personality of convicts, the transfer from a borderline state to normal.
