Abstract
Remote sensing and GIS can also be used very effectively in land use / land cover analysis as well as damage assessment because of drought, floods and other extreme weather events. Information on meteorology and vegetation are the two major important inputs into agricultural meteorology Applications of remote sensing technologies are important and effective method to identify pest- infested and disease. It is one of the effective tools for assessing and monitoring the water resources. This article provides an overview of some ofthe recent research in agriculture involving remotesensing and GIS. Attention focuses on application ofremote sensing and GIS specially in agriculture includinggeography, land surveying, most Earth Sciencedisciplines, parent child relationship, unique identification, attributes, technical parameters, 2D/3Dview and any other requirement customized. Theseadvances have been made over recent years andfoundations for future research established and can beefficiently used in Agriculture for better results.
