The specialists' ability in socio-economic professions to act constructively in professional crisis: content and indicators

Abstract
The article highlights the results of an empirical study of the specialists' ability of socionomic professions to function constructively in crisis of professional activity. The urgency of the problem, and the need to operate constructively in problematic situations (crisis), will allow a specialist in the socio-economic sphere to be able to demonstrate a leadership position, accept and defend his/her decision and position, rally those around him/her to solve the life difficulties of clients in an optimal way, show social courage, communicative tolerance in professional activity. According to the results of the empirical research, an average level of the ability to act constructively in problematic (crisis) situations of professional activity was revealed in more than half of the specialists in the socionomic sphere; an insufficient level of showing social courage for the majority of the studied specialists of psychosocial services, who either do not always strive for achievements and affirmation in the socionomic sphere (about half of the studied or practically do not show such a desire at all (a third of the people). A third of the specialists can be characterized as communicatively tolerant, and a third are intolerant. According to the results of dispersion analysis, socio-demographic and organizational-professional features of the ability to act constructively in problematic situations of professional activity in the socio-economic sphere were revealed. Higher indicators were found: the older respondents, especially women (p < 0.01 ); specialists – townspeople, who are more socially courageous than those who live in rural areas, especially men; heads of services compared to employees; specialists in related specialities compared to professionals; with the increasing length of service in the position, etc.
