The role of the wide context in revealing the communication effect in the process of communication

The possibilities and limitations of contextualization as a reliance on non-linguistic factors in the interpretation of the meaning of the statement are analyzed. The theoretical foundations are set in text linguistics, pragmatics, cognitive linguistics, and social theories of discourse. A change in ideas about speech system and a shift in focus to social interaction and the role of language in communicative practices are stated. Perspectives are associated both with the methodology of linguistics and with socially oriented theories.
