Abstract
The level of service is a quality metric used to assess the road service and functionality provided to road users, particularly drivers. LOS is broadly classified into 6 different categories, and in those categories, road traffic qualitative measures can be known and also help us to know if an existing road needs to be expanded or not. In this we will see the LOS of the Raipur–Bilaspur road in both ways. Oneweek of manual counting was done to determine the LOS, free flow speed, average travel speed, peak hour volume, and Peak Hour Factor (PHF). Peak hour volume, PHF, and average travel speed directly or indirectly affect the LOS of the road. According to HCM, the level of service depends upon road conditions and traffic characteristics
