CURRENT ISSUES OF JUVENILE CRIME PREVENTION

The article emphasizes that the procedure for the prevention of crimes among minors is an important direction of the preventive activities of law enforcement agencies, since the illegal behavior of adolescents affects not only the general criminality of the present time, but also largely determines the crime of the future. In this regard, special attention should be paid to the correct choice of the organization of this work. Despite the fact that the share of crimes committed by minors or with their complicity in general statistics is sufficient, work on crime prevention among teenagers and young people is given an important place. It is emphasized that the police occupy a special place in the system of prevention of homelessness and juvenile delinquency. It is justified by the fact that law enforcement agencies, being an instrument of coercive action, are, in fact, the main subject of direct prevention and termination of deviant behavior of minors. This is explained by the diversity and breadth of the police's competence, a wide range of powers to carry out operational-investigative, administrative, criminal-procedural and other types of activities in the fight against crime. Also, in the issue of crime prevention among minors, the interaction of various services and units of law enforcement agencies is of great importance. Today, there are a number of agencies for the prevention of offenses and crimes by minors, with which law enforcement agencies need to closely interact. Emphasis is placed on the fact that the directions of their activities to eliminate negative processes among young people correspond to the realities of the time. Such interaction will ensure the coordinated use of forces and means of various state structures and public organizations in a unified system of preventive bodies for the prevention of crimes and offenses among minors.
