“Kırım Hayalleri” series of poems by the Uzbek poet Rauf Parfi

Abstract

Rauf Parfi is one of the important poets who left his mark on Contemporary Uzbek literature from the 1960s until his death. The poems that Parfi wrote are works that embrace the whole Turkic world, express their troubles, are their voices, and also make a mark on history. Therefore, Parfi is an important figure among the most important poets of the Turkic world. The poet's interest in the Crimean people begins with his father's friend Abdulla Ağa, from whom he received his first education in his childhood, and continued increasingly. Because of this interest, his works on Crimea and Crimean Turks, his circle called him "Crimean Tatar Poet". A poet with a high consciousness of Turkicness and love for humanity; he wrote many poems expressing the injustice suffering of the Crimean people and the troubles they experienced. In fact, some of these poems, which constitute a series of poems, were published in different books; only some of them were added as chapters to some poems, and some remained only in the notes of the poet. In this study, firstly the private notes of Rauf Parfi's poem series " Kırım Hayalleri ", which has not been fully published and collected until today were searched. Then the published books, the writings of his friends on this subject and their memories were investigated in depth, thus the series was completed. While these were being done, the poet's writings on this subject were given as an example from time to time and some comments were made on the poem. The series in question was written in 1964-1965. The poems in the series are about the bitter fate of the Crimean Turks who were exiled from their homeland in masses and had to live in foreign countries, and the national independence movements on their way back to their homeland. In the article, the poems in the “Kırım Hayalleri" were examined in detail.
