Abstract
The Algerian Revolution represents the kernel of hope for Algerian people and the main inspiration source for its writers. However, some translations of revolution literature involve meaning shift that may result from modulation or substitution for ideological reasons. In this respect, this paper focuses on the difference between modulation and ideological managing in translation using a descriptive methodology in the theoretical part. It, then, sheds the light on the translation procedures used for (Thawra/Thouar) in the bilingual edition of Ghoualmi's anthology, by analysing these terms and their translation through historical and descriptive approach.
