Abstract
The article discusses the concept and grounds for the invalidity of marriage. When analyzing the concept of this legal institution, the positions and opinions of various family law theorists are given, as well as the distinguishing features of an invalid marriage from its dissolution. The article also defines the grounds for a marriage that is invalid. The author's definition of invalidity of marriage is given.
