Abstract

The Russian legal order, of course, is not the first to face the need to counteract attempts to exert unlawful influence on jurors. And this expresses the general interest: society wants to have a judicial system that can be trusted; the state is preoccupied with its image, since justice is formally administered in its name; It is vital for the defending party that the case be resolved by an objective and impartial tribunal. Therefore, it is not surprising that in states where a wealth of experience in the administration of justice by a jury has accumulated, not only the very possibility of involving jurors as witnesses is recognized, but also the normative parameters and limits of their interrogation are indicated.
