Abstract
Air Pollution is gradually increasing in the environment and now it has become a health risk in our society. According to WHO's 2022 report, around 99% of the global population breathe air that exceeds the prescribed limit of WHO. Air pollution is the cause of the premature death of about 7 million people annually. Ozone gas is a major air pollutant and causes health problems related to the lungs, eyes, nose, throat, skin etc. In this paper, the concentration level of ozone in the ambient temperature has been measured using a Heated Metal Oxide Semiconductor sensor device. When the target gas reacts with the metal oxide surface, the charge carrier concentration of the material changes as per the magnitude of the reaction. Among the other parameters, the temperature is a vital parameter that makes the metal oxide substrate more sensitive to ozone gas and accordingly, its electrical resistance changes during the passing of current through the heated substrate.
