Abstract

Introduction. The process of project implementation as one of the elements of STEM education in primary school is described .The article outlines the content, tasks and advantages of STEM technologies in the educational process. STEM education has been described as helping to develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to overcome challenges that elementary school students may encounter in life. The process of project implementation as one of the elements of STEM education is described. Obstacles to the introduction of STEM elements into the educational process are characterized, and ways to overcome the mare described. Purpose. Article aims to justify the content and benefits of STEM technologies in the educational process, to characterize the process of project implementation as one of the elements of STEM education. Methods. The theoretical methods of analyse is and generalization of scientific literature, systematization and generalization of the received information, analysis of psychological, pedagogical, methodical literature on the subject, synthesis, comparison, induction and deduction, analogy, which allowed to characterize the state of development of the problem in the scientific literature and draw own conclusions. Results. The structure of STEM education at different educational levels is analyzed, the advantages of implementing STEM elements in primary school are particularly widely disclosed, and the functions to support the implementation and development of STEAM education in Ukraine for the successful implementation of fall its links are outlined. STEM education in elementary school is motivation to study, interest of younger students and stimulation of the research, creation of the simplest models and devices. The process of project implementation as one of the elements of STEM education in primary school is described. Originality. The advantages of implementing STEM elements in primary school are revealed, and the functions of supporting the implementation and development of STEAM education in Ukraine for the successful implementation of its entire links are developed. STEM education is necessary in order to work with real-life challenges and innovative ideas. The article also defines one of the most relevant means of introducing STEM technologies into education - project and project activity, as a way of practical application in real life of the acquired theoretical knowledge. Conclusion. Obstacles to the introduction of STEM elements into the educational process are characterized and ways to overcome them are described. The process of implementing the project as one of the elements of STEM education in elementary school is described. STEM technologies develop students' interest in technical academic disciplines, improve critical thinking skills, and contribute to problem solving standard tasks by checking and conducting various experiments, to activate the communication skills of schoolchildren.
