Abstract
Around the world, industrialization has led to the identification of the population's constantly growing needs and desires, and it has come to represent wealth and the growth of an economy. However, it has also led to the exploitation of the environment, which has upset the ecological equilibrium. The disruption of the ecological balance has had a negative impact on humans and the environment. The uneven industrialization was directly or indirectly related to the recent industrial mishaps and natural disasters that took place over the past three decades. As a result, this has brought up a crucial issue of environmental protection among environmentalists, governments, and organizations around the globe. The worldwide community now places a high priority on environmental sustainability and sustainable development. This study focuses on Indian banks' actions in light of the adopting “Go Green" banking, its benefits, as well as a thorough understanding of response to environmental turmoil.
