Abstract
Coarse grained activities, also known as primitive classes of activities, are a simplified subset of fundamental activities. The framework aids doctors in analyzing a patient's typical daily routine. While patients are not permitted to use the stairs while recovering from surgery, this may be a useful tool for monitoring their whereabouts and activity levels. Important for context-aware health monitoring, activity detection may also determine a patient's precise environment.
