Abstract

The conditions of the war create significant challenges for the economic recovery of the country, which requires an effective customs policy. The article «Challenges and obstacles: the role of customs policy in the economic recovery of Ukraine during the war» examines the role of the customs service in ensuring the economic recovery of Ukraine during the war. The author draws attention to the challenges faced by the customs service when moving goods across the contact line, changing the location of enterprises and reducing the volume of foreign trade. The article examines the obstacles faced by the customs service in wartime, such as changes in the foreign economic situation and the use of new methods of customs control. The author emphasizes the importance of an effective customs policy in promoting the recovery of production and exports, as well as in protection against smuggling and other illegal activities. The article examines the role of customs policy in supporting the country's economic development, the use of customs zones and other tools for speeding up customs clearance and simplifying procedures, as well as attracting foreign investment. Based on the analysis, the author concludes about the importance of an effective customs policy in the conditions of war to ensure the economic recovery of Ukraine and emphasizes the need for fur‑ ther development of the customs infrastructure and improvement of customs control.
