TIME MANAGEMENT OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS AS A CONDITION FOR EFFECTIVE DISTANCE LEARNING

Abstract
Introduction. The relevance of the problem of effective use of time by applicants for higher education is becoming more and more important in the conditions of the scientific and technical revolution, globalization, pandemic, socio-political troubles, wars, and the appearance of new forms of education. Time is the most valuable human resource, which is limited and non-renewable, it cannot be replaced or compensated, but it can be effectively «converted» into life values. The correct use of time is the key to the successful performance of educational duties and achievement of life goals. Therefore, the introduction of time management technologies into the educational process of student youth becomes especially relevant, which allows for increasing the effectiveness of educational activities due to the optimization of time spent on preparation and decision-making, the achievement of strategic and tactical goals, the fulfilment of intellectual and life tasks. Purpose. The article aims to reveal the peculiarities of time management among applicants for higher education, and future teachers of primary classes during distance learning, to develop recommendations for improving time management skills. Methods. To study the level of formation of time management skills of future primary school teachers, the following methods were used: Test-questionnaire of self-organization of activity (Author: O. Mandrikova (2010); based on M. Bond & N. Feather (1988)); test to determine competence in time management, the author's questionnaire «My time management during distance education». Results. The results of the conducted research showed that students of education have a distorted idea of the organization of their own time. Respondents do not have the necessary knowledge and time management skills. Students and future primary school teachers have problems organizing their own time. According to the results of the conducted survey, most of the education seekers showed interest in time management. They have a desire and consider it necessary to gain knowledge and acquire the ability to self-organize their own time. Originality. The article reveals the essence of the concept of time management, and its structure. The article analyses the psychological and pedagogical features of the formation of time management, characterizes the methods and stages of studying students' ability to use time rationally, develops criteria, indicators and levels of research on the formation of time management skills among applicants for higher education, offers recommendations for future primary school teachers on time management during distance learning. Developed criteria, indicators and research levels for the formation of time management skills. The analysis of psychological-pedagogical and methodical literature, the results of research and experimental work made it possible to clarify the essence of the concept of «time management» in the student's educational activity, to reveal its structure, and to generalize diagnostic tools and criteria and levels of formation.
