PROFESSIONALLY SIGNIFICANT AND PERSONAL QUALITIES OF FUTURE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER FOR TEAM INTERACTIONS

Abstract

Introduction. The socio-economic changes taking place in the country could not but affect the education system in general and teacher education in particular. The modern school and the school of the future need teachers ready to apply theoretical knowledge, professional skills, and abilities comprehensively, with a high level of pedagogical thinking, who can analyse, compare, organize information, and solve pedagogical tasks independently and creatively. It also applies to future physical education teachers. For the effective implementation of professional activity, the following was carried out: firstly, the analysis of the qualities and personality traits of the future physical education teacher studied in the literature to specifically identify those necessary for managing team interactions; secondly, the mechanism of their influence on the effectiveness of the joint activities of the sports team. Purpose. The article aims to analyse the professionally relevant and personal qualities of a future physical education teacher necessary for organizing team interactions in a sports team. Methods. Theoretical methods of analysis and synthesis of scientific literature, systematization and data analysis were used. Results. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the personal qualities and properties of future physical education teachers – coaches, and athletes necessary for their activities were determined. It was established that the highest manifestation of a person's mental and physical capabilities is possible in sports. The professionally relevant and personal qualities of the future physical education teacher, necessary for the organization of team interactions in the sports team, were analysed. The criteria for differentiating the personality qualities of the future physical education teacher required for team interactions are determined. The personal skills of the members of the sports team are revealed. Originality. Differentiated and named groups of qualities of the future teacher of physical culture for organizing the interaction of team members: intellectual (intellect, self-improvement, creativity, mental and behavioural flexibility); strong-willed (initiative, perseverance (focus, determination, confidence, etc.), self- control); moral (sincerity (openness, trust, honesty, justice, etc.), responsibility (objectivity, tact, adherence to principles, demandingness), social courage and independence); communicative (sociability (sociability, friendliness, etc.), tolerance and the ability to empathize – empathy). The interpretation of the concept «personal qualities of the future physical culture teacher, necessary for team interactions» is proposed. Under the personal qualities of future teachers of physical education, necessary for team interactions, we understand the following intellectual, volitional, moral and communicative qualities, character properties, expectations, stereotypes, instructions, and other dispositions, thanks to which perception, assessment of the sports team, decision-making and response to emotional and behavioural levels in situations of substantive and interpersonal interactions. Conclusion. First, the article differentiates and names the specific qualities of a future physical education teacher for organizing the interaction of team members. Secondly, the interpretation of the concept of «personal qualities of the future physical culture teacher necessary for team interactions» is proposed.
