ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT IN CONDITIONS OF RISK AND UNCERTAINTY

The article discusses the question of assessing the effectiveness of enterprise development in conditions of risk and uncertainty. Effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and productivity have been identified as characteristics of efficiency, and their identification is imprecise, as each characteristic reflects only one aspect of the complex concept of «efficiency». It has been established that the efficiency of the enterprise's development is shown not only by the results, but also by the costs of achieving them. Efficiency is classified into scientific and technological efficiency, economic efficiency, social efficiency, operational (production) efficiency, financial efficiency, marketing efficiency, management efficiency and project efficiency. It was found that the efficiency of the development of the enterprise means the effectiveness of the development of such an enterprise, that is, it clearly excludes the possibility of negative quantitative and qualitative changes in the functional state of the enterprise. It was determined that the efficiency of enterprise development, on the one hand, evaluates the ratio of final results and costs, that is, it reflects the efficiency of the use of certain types of resources, and on the other hand, the influence of factors that determine enterprise development in units of account. The components included in the evaluation of the efficiency of the enterprise's development are considered. The requirements that must be met when choosing an efficiency criterion (also when evaluating in general) are highlighted. It was established that the evaluation of the efficiency of the enterprise's development is carried out on the basis of indicators of the profitability of production facilities, products, capital, assets, sales, the ratio of credit resources to the volume of sales of the enterprise's products, etc. The areas of motivating development, which are implemented to evaluate the effectiveness of motivating the development of the enterprise, are revealed. It was found that the factors determining the development of the enterprise are: available resources and availability; competition between enterprises on the market; the direction of state influence on supporting the development of existing elements of the infrastructure of the business sector; investment and innovation activities of enterprises; financial and economic activity of enterprises; foreign economic activity of enterprises, etc.
