Abstract
The article characterizes the research carried out on the problem of teaching English phrasal verbs in the aspect of generalization and repetition in preparation for the general state exam in English. The linguistic and rhetorical aspects are synthesized within the framework of the inte-grative Linguistic and Rhetorical (L&R) Approach of Sochi State University.
