Abstract
The article examines the aspects of training specialists in the field of military law, in particular, taking into account modern trends and tasks facing these specialists. Features of military legal training indicate unique aspects of training related to military norms, international humanitarian law and other aspects of military activity. The need to adapt this training to modern conditions and solve actual tasks arises in connection with changes in the military sphere and society as a whole. The aggression of the Russian Federation significantly affected the paradigm of training and deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the functioning of the security and defense sector as a whole. The practice of using units and subdivisions, the reaction of the world society to the events in Ukraine forced to reconsider the role and place of military lawyers in the process of planning operations and during their implementation. The moral account of the armed forces of both sides of the conflict came to the forefront of coverage of events in Ukraine. Modern challenges indicate that the system of military-legal training in the Armed Forces of Ukraine needs a comprehensive approach to reform.
