Abstract
The article deals with the concept of «integrity» as a principle of a lawyer's activity. Integrity is defined as a multifaceted concept and is the subject of research not only in legal sciences, but also in philosophy. First of all, integrity is distinguished as an evaluative qualitative activity, as a criterion of suitability for a position, as a standard of ethical behavior in the performance of powers, etc. The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the fact that today there is no scientific research on the problem of determining integrity as a principle of a lawyer's activity It is argued that honesty is a key ethical principle that plays an important role in building relations in society, but, in our opinion, it is appropriate to apply the principle of integrity, because this concept is broader and includes a wider range of moral values and reflects the honesty of a person, his ability to act according to high standards of morality and ethics. Honesty requires truthfulness and honest representation of facts, while integrity encompasses a wide range of values, including justice, mercy, and other aspects. According to the analysis of normative legal acts, it was concluded that integrity is an important prerequisite for trust in justice, which follows from the provisions of international and national legislation. When studying integrity as a principle of a lawyer's activity, it should be noted that it should be studied not only with regard to the activity of a judge. This principle is the foundation for an efficient and fair legal system and plays an important role in ensuring equality, justice and the protection of human rights. Adherence to the principles of integrity in professional activity is necessary for maintaining trust in the legal system in conditions of sustainable development and ensuring justice. This creates the basis for the effective work of the legal profession for the benefit of society and justice.
