Abstract

A road transport industry assessment was carried out. The structure and dynamics of the provided services by types of transportation were considered on the territory of Ukraine and for export. The structure and dynamics of EU countries were considered separately. The conducted statistical studies showed that the industry of providing transport services is a dynamic, attractive, and promising field for business entities. The geographical structure of services exported by EU countries is characterized with an emphasis on transport services. A comparison of the main markets by partner countries was carried out in order to form development strategies. A set of indicators was selected for evaluation of the state and dynamics of trade volumes between countries, including market volumes, rankings in world markets, as well as distances between partner countries. The political and economic characteristics of the transport services markets in such countries as Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, and Belgium were provided. It is concluded that the Polish economy is developing at a fast pace. The short-term economic prospects are optimistic, the fiscal policy system is strong, and the measures taken to increase tax revenues are effective. In terms of opportunities, the most promising elements of the Ukrainian export to Germany are supplies of niche agricultural products (biological products, organic products, niche berries and fruits, dried fruits, vegetables, honey, food products from biological products). The Netherlands is one of the leading foreign economic partners of Ukraine among the EU member states. The country was the key importer of Ukrainian agricultural products among EU members in 2021. The advantages of the Belgian market were considered during the market analysis. Accordingly, the provision of transport for the export of goods is a promising direction for business development. Measures of state support for the most optimal conditions for the export of goods from Ukrainian manufacturers abroad are outlined.
