Media art in the context of the contemporary screen art

The research of the media art phenomenon in the context of the modern screen art. The place of the media art in the contemporary art screen was considered, the types of the screens used for media art creations were investigated. The validity of the definition of the media art as the form of the modern screen art was established. The article involve morphological and structural methods of analyze. The modern media art accumulates in its creation and presentation both screen and off-screen forms of media. Thus, the media art only partially can be considered as the screen art. The results of the investigation could be involved in the further theoretical and applied researches of the visual culture, modern screen art, and also could be used in such areas as cultural studies, art studies, social communication.
