Abstract
This study aims to show what makes up a person's personality in the Islamic educational heritage to better understand the idea of personality traits. The researcher studied the writings of Islamic scholars Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya, al-Ghazali, Ibn Hazm and Ragheb Al-Isfahani to find out the traits of great human personality using the inductive and analytical method. The researcher found that human personality traits can be predicted by how people act, which is influenced by both the environment and genetics. So, the main characteristics are good qualities and bad qualities for the opposite ones. Scholars of Islamic education agree on some good qualities and think that different things can cause bad qualities.
