Abstract

The article is devoted to clarifying the concept of «mechanism for monitoring the activities of a business structure» from the perspective of a structural-functional approach. It is noted that the relevance of carrying out scientific research in the field of developing mechanisms for monitoring the activities of business structures is due to modern challenges and trends in the business environment, which requires more effective and adaptive approaches to management from organizations. Increasing competition, rapid technological change, globalization of markets and deepening digital transformation create the need to develop new monitoring strategies to ensure efficiency and competitiveness. It has been established that the development of new technologies, changes in consumer approach, high dynamics of market conditions call into question the effectiveness of existing methods and require the search for innovative solutions for monitoring and analyzing business activities. It was found that the term «business structure monitoring mechanism» indicates a system or process aimed at tracking, analyzing and assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of a business organization. This mechanism includes various tools, methods and procedures for collecting and processing information about various aspects of the company's activities. It has been proven that managing the efficiency of business structures is impossible without improving corporate performance monitoring mechanisms. With fast-paced markets and growing competition, companies must have systems that not only collect data, but can also adapt to new conditions, highlighting key areas for strategic improvement. It is substantiated that the solution to this problem includes the correct choice of key performance characteristics. Adequate performance is identified as a critical part of the monitoring mechanism. It is argued that digital transformation, analysis of large volumes of data, artificial intelligence technologies and cybersecurity are becoming key factors influencing the formation of monitoring mechanisms. Taking into account these trends allows companies to collect and analyze large volumes of data, providing a high level of accuracy and efficiency in improving their strategy.
