Legal principles of spiritual and moral education in the comprehensive general secondary education system of Ukraine

Abstract
The interdisciplinary nature of the article reveals its relevance. After all, the path of spiritual and moral education from the basic normative basis to practical implementation in the educational program has been followed. The legal foundations of spiritual and moral education in Ukraine at the level of the Constitution, as well as laws: "On education", "On full general secondary education" and "On the basic principles of state policy in the sphere of establishing Ukrainian national and civil identity", and additionally the State Standard were studied general secondary education and basic principles of the New Ukrainian School. A certain conflict of values between personal and social values has been revealed. Attention is paid to the importance of education and its spiritual and moral orientations not only in the psychological and pedagogical sense, but also primarily in the study of the process of their consolidation and implementation in the normative and legal space. The main principles of the reform of general secondary education, within which the introduction of spiritual and moral education, both as a separate direction of reforms and as a separate educational subject, takes place are considered. In the conditions of a full-scale war, the level of implementation of spiritual and moral education in the system of full general secondary education of Ukraine is considered. The model curriculum authored by V. Zhukovsky, I. Sidanych, D. Hryshchuk, and I. Gubeni developed for 5–6 classes of general secondary education institutions – "Spirituality and morality in the life of a person and society" is characterized. The program is the first one officially approved for spiritual and moral education in general high school. The relevance of further research in the field of spiritual and moral education and its normative consolidation is recorded. The relevance of further scientific research, in the direction of the future implementation of programs of spiritual and moral direction in senior classes of the general secondary school, as part of the reform of the New Ukrainian School, is highlighted
