Abstract
The article discusses the methodological aspects of research of the problem of the subject of cognition in modern epistemology The development of societies based on knowledge, means the formation of a new phase of design and constructive human activity and the role of the subject. It is shown that epistemology and cognitive science, learning cognition, play a significant role in the culture of the emerging knowledge societies. The structure of modern epistemology, highlighted the main directions of epistemology. It is shown that under the conditions of differentiation of scientific knowledge in epistemology formed of applied epistemology. Shows the relationship of epistemology and cognitive disciplines. The article analyses the problem of the unity of the individual, collective (micro) and social (macro-social) subjects in the aspect of the growing information society and the automation of human intellectual activity.
