Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the problem of the narrative approach to the interpretation of a literary fairy tale. The content, structure, and characteristics of a literary fairy tale are determined as a work of fiction, based on folklore and literary traditions, which realizes ethical and aesthetic goals and contains a fantastic plot. The types of literary fairy tales are presented: an artistic presentation of a folk plot, the author's own fairy tale, a free interpretation of constant folklore schemes, a fairy tale-story, a fairy tale-legend. Scientific approaches to the interpretation of a literary fairy tale are highlighted: folkloristic (emphasis on folk motifs, traditions), literary criticism (comprehension of the genre aspects of the work), cultural studies (attention to the cultural, aesthetic, moral ideals of society), semiotic (examination of the compositional and plot organization of the work), sociohistorical (analysis of the socio-political order of a historical era), gender (differences in characteristic gender traits), linguistic (study of linguistic elements to express meaning), psychoanalytic (attention to unconscious mental aspirations), behavioristic (analysis of behavior patterns), existential (study of temporal, spatial, causal dimensions works), psychotherapeutic (analysis of the influence on a person's inner world), narrative (study of narrative categories). It is noted that the narrative approach in the interpretation of a literary fairy tale determines the values of the author, which generates his identity through metaphors that convey images of the artist's reality to others. National identity is characterized as the process of creating an internalized life history integrated in temporal dimensions, which interprets the individual's information about himself and others through reflection, acceptance, and attitude towards subjective experience through the prism of individual culture. The principles of the narrative approach are clarified: externalization of the problem, work in the zone of proximal development, orientation to reality, time-limited influence
