Abstract
Introduction. Modern trends in accelerating scientific and technological progress and, as a consequence, the active introduction of quick-change high-tech innovative technologies with short life cycles, globalization, complication and mutual influence of the processes of socio-economic development of civilization determine the nonlinear (bifurcation) nature of the course of economic processes. Accordingly, the unpredictability of capital markets, unexpected price jumps, sudden drops, severe crises that the economy is experiencing, increase the level of uncertainty and variability of the business environment, cause ambiguity and uncertainty in obtaining the expected result of entrepreneurial activity, and increase the riskiness of doing business. Available scientific developments do not provide a clear idea of the essence and nature of the risk of business activity in modern conditions, which makes it difficult to identify and develop mechanisms for effective management of the financial and economic activities of an enterprise. In most of these scientific studies, it is believed that the only objective reason for the emergence of uncertainty and, consequently, the risks of entrepreneurial activity is the stochastic (random) nature of the behavior of the production system as a subject of entrepreneurial activity and the stochastic nature of the external business (market) environment, regardless of the nature of the dynamics of this activity. Therefore, research into the nature of business risks, the development of methods and models for assessing and managing the risks of business activity in modern conditions of nonlinearity of processes in open non-equilibrium economic systems are acquiring great fundamental and applied relevance. Purpose. The purpose of the paper is to study the nature of entrepreneurial risks in the activities of business entities in modern conditions of nonlinear processes in open non-equilibrium economic systems. It is assumed that such nonlinear processes occurring in economic systems at all levels of the hierarchy are synergetic in nature. Materials and methods. The research materials are: 1) legal support for regulating economic activity; 2) analytical publications of international institutions, works of domestic and foreign authors on the analysis of the nature of business risks, the development of methods and models for assessing and managing business risks. The theoretical and methodological basis of research is the system-synergetic approach as the basis of the modern concept of universal evolutionism. To achieve this goal, a complex of scientific theories and methods was used, namely: methods of system analysis and theoretical generalization — to identify and substantiate the main features and trends of the nonlinear nature of modern socio-economic development of society, determine the essence and characteristics of entrepreneurial activity, as well as the manifestation of the risks of such activities; numerical methods of simulation, method of analysis of phase trajectories for constructing bifurcation diagrams, analysis in the field of bifurcation transitions of the evolution of financial and economic indicators of business activity of an enterprise.
