FORMATION OF SMART INDUSTRY IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF THE ECONOMY BASED ON DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT

Introduction. The article studies the concept of smart industry in the agricultural sector of the economy, which is based on its (economy) digitalization. The authors determine that in modern theoretical agrarian economics, these questions are almost not studied, although they are important not only for the economy as a whole, but also for its agrarian sector, which in the modern conditions of the country's martial law is one of those that supports the state's economy and is source of funds to the state budget. The article describes the key components of agricultural smart industry, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data, cloud technologies and robotics. The authors consider the economic advantages and challenges of implementing smart technologies in the agricultural sector and provide some suggestions for finding ways and recommendations for creating a smart industry in the modern agricultural sector of Ukraine using the assets accumulated by science and practice of digitalization of the economy. Purpose. The purpose of the study is to study the theoretical issues of the concept of smart industry in the agricultural sector of the economy, using modern achievements of digitalization of this economy. Results. The scientific article studies the theoretical issues of the prerequisites for the emergence of smart industry in the world economy and its introduction into the economy of Ukraine, focusing on the conditions of its application in industries and ways of forming smart industry in the economy of Ukraine in the modern realities of time. The author's vision of the definition of «smart industry in the agrarian economy» is formed. Examples of the application of smart technologies in the agricultural sector of Ukraine are presented, the components of smart industry in the agricultural sector are formed, challenges that may arise when implementing smart technologies in the agricultural sector of the economy, ways are proposed, the application of which will accelerate the introduction of new digitalization technologies in the economy of the agricultural sector of Ukraine. Discussion. In further scientific research, it is proposed to focus attention on the study of smart industry issues specifically in the agro-industrial complex and its economy, taking into account the peculiarities of each of these definitions. This will make it possible to deepen the study of the theoretical component of economic science in the application of the latest smart technologies in agricultural production, taking into account its digitalization.
