Globalization is both a phenomenon, an ideology and a position. There is no out for globalization, everybody is either the “subject” or the “object” of the globalization.There are economical, social and cultural dimensions of globalization. Internet is a functional icon of globalization. “Risk Society” conceptualised by Ulrich Beck is important in understanding new age during the process of globalization. Ecological, social, technological, cultural, and political risks affect all societies.In this paper, globalization and risk society are examined in a sociological perspective.
