Abstract

The article presents the conducted analysis of the theoretical material and the results of the practical research in the form of recommendations for arranging a more effective educational pro-cess. The relevance of the work is conditioned by the need to find ways to increase motivation and overcome difficulties in learning a foreign language. The purpose of the study is to identify the problems of reducing motivation among students and to study the impact of the gender aspect in teaching a foreign language. The novelty lies in the study of the gender characteristics of motivation for learning a foreign language in different age groups. Theoretical research has found its practical application and has proven its effectiveness. Ap-probation of the material was carried out on the basis of secondary school № 77 in Izhevsk. To de-termine the dynamics of the level of motivation to learn a foreign language from a gender perspec-tive, we conducted an analysis of theoretical literature on teaching methods and related fields of knowledge as well as a pedagogical experiment and a survey.
