Abstract
The present investigation was undertaken to find out the effect of neem formulation, carbofuran and resistant variety against the cereal cyst nematode, Heterodera avenae in barley. The seed treatment and soil application of different neem products viz. Neem cake (10 q/ha), Neem oil (10 ml /kg seed), Neem gold (10%), NSKP ( Neem seed kernel powder) 10%, resistant variety (RD 2035) along with treated check (Carbofuran @ 1.0 kg ai/ha) and untreated check. All the neem products gave significantly better results as compared to untreated check. Neem gold also gave good results in terms of plant growth and reduced CCN counts and superior to neem oil, NSKP and neem cake. Resistant variety RD 2035 was also more effective, followed by carbofuran , neem gold and neem oil, respectively.
