Abstract
This study seeks to demonstrate the attitude of Arab modernists to the sources of Islam by clarifying concepts and opinions. This is illustrated through presenting and criticizing the attitude of Arab modernists to the concept of revelation, the Quran, and the Prophet's Sunna. In this study, the analytical descriptive approach is used to achieve the objectives of the study. One of the most important findings of the study was that the Arab modernists, in their attempt to achieve their modernized aim, pursued a series of plans aimed at refuting the belief; because it is one of the obstacles in their eyes. The most prominent of which is the plan to humanize the Qur'anic stories, which aims to lift holiness from the Holy Quran by dealing with Quranic verses as a human description. The study also shows the gravity of modernist intellectual contents calling for the exclusion of religion from the arena, and to disseminate the Western experience with the Church, and showed that the Arab modernists' view of heritage and the Holy Prophetic Sunna is a hostile one. The study recommends that postgraduate students be directed to write on contemporary intellectual trends, modernist theses in depth, discussing their ideas with a sober scientific approach, providing Islamic educational insights for educational institutions to work on them, like family, mosque, university, school, media, clubs, cultural centers, etc., in providing scientific measures to reduce vicious attempts to undermine and distort the sources of Islam.
