Within the conditions of 1930s, acting on the assumption that human is in the chaos status; Hilmi Ziya Ülken had embarked on a new value search in order to fill the spiritual gap of the human. Ülken named this new search as the Ethics of Love which handles the new human, his spirit, body and politics as a whole. This article puts forth and argues Ülken’s Ethics of Love, in which socio-political conditions was it put forward, which intellectual ground and assumptions is it based on.
