Abstract
The journal Ant began its publishing life in 1967 and it was published by Fethi Naci, Yaşar Kemal and Doğan Özgüden. The journal issued in these years when socialism spread quickly and the developments that were so colourful and exciting in terms of Turkish political history, avoided showing the characteristics of being a speaker of a certain party or a tendency that we often encounter in Turkish left, tried to find its presence apart from the dominant organizational structure within a relatively autonomous direction. In those years TİP was on the rise and came to the fore. In such a period the journal Ant was issued in order to meet the need for a weekly socialist journal independent from TİP.
