TURİST BAKIŞ’IN YAPISÖKÜMÜ: TURİST DENEYİMLERİ VE OTANTİSİTE SORUNU THE DECONSTRUCTION OF TOURIST GAZE: TOURIST EXPERIENCES AND THE QUESTION OF AUTHENTICITY

“Tourist Gaze” corresponds to an explicit/implicit ruling power’s language towards tourist subjects. The practice of tourist’s intentional view refers to the colonial view to places, abodes and landscape. Tourist gaze turns everything (places, abodes) into the subjects of turist’s wishes, lust to consume, seek for pleasure and his passion to own by deforming the authenticity of the places. In this study, with the notion “tourist gaze” developed by J.Urry we will dwell on the coordinates of tourist view and the implications towards abodes and cultural themes. Particularly, the question of authenticity in tourist experiences will be handled through rhetoric of tourist view.
