Abstract

The work developed a conceptual and graphic model of organizational changes in the organization, the structural elements of which are the internal environment of the organization, management functions, management methods, management decisions, and the organization's functioning process. The meaning of the concepts “changes”, “organizational changes”, “development”, “organizational development” has been studied and clarified. Common and distinctive features in the concepts of “organizational changes” and “organizational development” were revealed. It is established that “organizational development” encompasses organizational change. “Organizational changes” should be understood as changes in the internal environment of the organization (goals, structure, tasks, technologies, employees and resources), changes in management functions (general (planning, organizing, motivating, controlling, regulating) and specific), changes in the application of methods management (economic, technological, socio-psychological and administrative), management decision-making (economic, technological, socio-psychological and administrative) and functioning of the organization (operational activity and business activity) to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. Business activity is a permanent process of changing the organization's business environment to achieve development in conditions of uncertainty. The operational activity of the organization is the main activity of the enterprise, as well as other types of activity. Effectiveness assesses the degree of achievement of set goals or strategy implementation, while efficiency involves achieving specific goals with minimal costs. The successful operation of the organization involves ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Modern market conditions are characterized by high competition, an imperfect regulatory and legal basis of functioning and the influence of globalization factors, which affects not only the management system, but also the entire practice of the organization's work. Introduction. In the market economy, constant changes in the business environment call for the creation of effective change management tools in organizations capable of providing competitive advantages. Changes are caused by the instability of the market environment, increased competition, the expansion of the influence of globalization, and clearly established priorities of the organization: goals, tasks, and the purpose of creation. Already today, the main tasks of the organization, along with making a profit, are meeting the needs of consumers, guaranteeing long-term benefits and prospects for the development of business activities. All this actualizes the search for effective methods of managing changes, planning changes and their adaptation to permanent market conditions of business. Goal. The purpose of the work is to study the genesis of the terms “changes”, “organizational changes”, “development”, “organizational development”.
