Abstract

The study is devoted to the analysis of academic integrity as a key component in the higher education system, aimed at ensuring high ethical standards in the scientific community. The article examines academic integrity as a fundamental principle that contributes to ensuring the quality of the educational process and scientific research. Various aspects of academic dishonesty are analyzed, including plagiarism, falsification of data, non-compliance with copyright, which endangers the trust in the scientific community and educational institutions. The role of legislation, educational initiatives and international cooperation in the formation of an effective system for ensuring academic integrity is highlighted. Introduction. In the modern world, which is rapidly developing under the influence of globalization, academic and scientific activity faces a number of new challenges and opportunities. Progress in technology and education, which is gaining momentum, requires not only the introduction of innovative methods and teaching tools, but also the provision of a high level of ethics in scientific research and the educational process. Academic integrity is a key pillar in maintaining quality and ethical standards, indispensable in ensuring trust and accountability in the scientific community. Against the background of these processes, the availability of a huge amount of information through the Internet and the constant development of technologies open new horizons for research and education, while creating additional challenges for maintaining academic integrity. The question of how to ensure compliance with academic norms in such a dynamic environment is becoming increasingly urgent. Academic integrity, as an integral part of scientific work, requires not only the understanding of existing ethical standards, but also the development of new approaches to their implementation and control. Purpose. The purpose of the study is to study the problems of academic integrity, identify the main challenges and offer effective ways to overcome them in the context of modern trends of globalization and the development of information technologies. Materials and methods. The object of the research is the theoretical and methodological basis of the concept of “academic integrity”, which was analyzed on the basis of various concepts, the conclusions of scientists in revealing the essence of academic integrity in the legal aspect. A number of scientific and methodological approaches were used in the research. In the general scientific method, the method of system analysis serves as the main one. Within the limits of the analytical approach, the dominant research method was the formal-dogmatic approach to the theoretical analysis of legal phenomena, which determines the way of forming the character of academic integrity as a philosophical-legal category
