Abstract
E-learning as a network of sharing knowledge has changed dramatically the traditional concept of learning. Therefore, to implement and develop a successful e-learning system, it is an instant requirement for institutions to recognize the important success factors of e-learning adopting advanced technologies. This review paper covers the definition, and success factors of e-learning followed by identification of the most important technological aspects of e-learning. The published e-learning technological aspects were surveyed and grouped into six categories including ease of access, interface design, level of interaction, system quality, service quality, and internet quality. The categorization was pilot tested by surveying 30 students. The results from the pilot study revealed that, the survey instrument used in this paper have a high amount of reliability which will be useful to researchers to aid the implementation of successful e-learning systems.
