Features of the development of ecological tourism in the Batkhyz-Garabil region in Turkmenistan

Ecotourism is an important part of sustainable development, contributing to the conservation of natural resources, the development of regional economies and raising public awareness of the importance of nature conservation. In Turkmenistan, which has a rich natural and cultural heritage, the development of eco-tourism can become an important factor in economic growth and sustainable use of natural resources. The peculiarities of the development of eco-tourism in the Badkhyz-Grabil region, located in the south-east of the country, are becoming key for the formation of an environmentally oriented tourist infrastructure and the use of natural resources in the region to improve the standard of living of local communities. The Batkhiz-Garabil region is a unique natural formation rich in flora and fauna, as well as historical monuments. The article examines the potential and prospects of ecotourism in this region, as well as problems and opportunities for its development.
