Abstract
Introduction. The article analyzes the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in the cases of “Levchuk v. Ukraine”, “Ivashkiv v. Ukraine” and “M.M. and Z.M. v. Ukraine”. The cases are typical and highlight the problems of state inaction in cases of domestic violence, in particular shortcomings in the investigation, discriminatory attitude and ineffectiveness of judicial protection.
