Abstract

The measurement of blood glucose concentration in people with diabetes is a fundamental basis for maintaining proper control of patients with this condition. Traditionally, this is done through frequent sample collection using the conventional finger-prick method, which is uncomfortable and invasive. This type of method often causes aversion in both pediatric and adult patients, leading to phobias and resistance to regular monitoring. In this context, the development of non-invasive, user-friendly, and simplified alternatives, such as glucose measurement devices that use sweat analysis, has emerged. Diabetes is a chronic disease that affects the global population and often has irreversible health consequences. It is characterized by persistently high blood glucose levels, which significantly disrupt the body's normal functions. This study explores the physiology of sweat and glucose, sensor technology, environmental factors affecting diabetic individuals, and the accuracy and precision requirements for glucose measurement devices.
