Abstract
Basically sports is primarily a competitive physical activity performed within the structure of prescribed rules. The sports framework provides a backdrop against skill can be displayed and through which the quantity of the performance can be evaluated in a relatively objective manner. Participation in sports may take different forms and it can be partitioned into degree and forms of involvement for the behavioural effective and cognitive dimension which influences all aspects of players personality and also help in gaining poise and balance refreshing the spirit, renewing the inner springs faith and courage mastering the skills and meeting the strain of modern life with ease and calmness.
