Abstract
Equivalent circuits and induction motor improved mathematical models taking into account the magnetizing curve nonlinearity, hysteresis and eddy currents phenomena have been proposed. Static, power and dynamic characteristics of induction motor have been researched taking mentioned phenomena into consideration. Harmonic analysis of IM currents in the idle mode has been carried out. It has been demonstrated that taking into account the magnetizing curve nonlinearity in the mathematical model with experimental curves. Eddy currents losses influence on IM characteristics has been shown. The adequacy of the proposed mathematical model has been confirmed by experimental research.
