Abstract

The article researches the features of formation of power compounds of continuous sheet bar-and-billet mill in the setting of impact cyclic loading on the base of the real oscillograms of mill stand number 8 NZS - 900/700/500 JSC "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog". As it’s known the result of impact loads are great loses of energy in a form of reactive power and harmonic currents. These harmonic-related losses reduce system efficiency, cause apparatus overheating, and increase power and air conditioning costs. Usages of filter-compensating devices are limited by the reactive power rate of change, and our goal is decrease it with the help of using different converter circuits. Mathematical equations, results of the research and conclusions are provided in article.
