Abstract
The scheme of a switch?controlled electric energy source for small isolated power dc supply systems is proposed. The source consists of an unregulated variable speed turbine, induction generator with squirrel?cage rotor, inverter based excitation system, dump load and generator?system current regulator. The block diagram of a controller for the source is developed. It includes inverter vector control, dump load control and generator?system current control blocks. The control algorithm enables to take from the generator to a system preset power and execute maximum power point tracking for the turbine. The simulated performance results are presented.
